Born in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Undergraduate BA in Political Science and Psychology at University of Florida.
Completed coursework for MA in Public Administration at University of Florida
Was Alachua County Deputy Sheriff during Graduate School. Was acting Supervisor of the Department's Juvenile Section and completed Sheriff's Service as the Sheriff's Department Director of Planning.
Was awarded the Florida Jaycees "Law Enforcement Officer of the Year" Award in 1971.
Was elected to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.
Was first President of the Statewide Florida Student Congress.
In California:
Board Chairman of the Los Angeles Classical Ballet.
Was Board Member of Art of Elysium, a 503(c) charity connected with Children's Hospital LA.
Was Volunteer with Australian Shepard therapy dog "Boomer" visiting the pediatric wards in Children's Hospital and Shriners Hospital in Los Angeles.
