Stephen Hasner, Partner
Workers’ Compensation Attorney
Personal Injury Attorney
Stephen R. Hasner’s commitment to his family and his faith in God are the most important things in his life. They provide the foundation and purpose that underpin his life and his law practice.
Hasner provides his clients the benefit of his thorough knowledge of workers’ compensation law, but also believes they deserve more.
“The biggest difference between us and other firms is our passion to help the client,” he says. “We’re always focused on the client’s best interest and treating that client like a family member. It’s not just lip service. We have systems and processes in place to help people from their first phone call.”
Hasner has ingrained this philosophy of client service throughout the firm, which has a full staff of intake specialists and paralegals to assist clients. Furthermore, he takes care to hire people who share his passion for service.
Oftentimes, Hasner says, clients are going through a difficult time and need emotional support—and he believes it is one of the roles of the lawyer and the law firm to provide that.
“When people are stressed, nothing feels better than to say, ‘This is what we’re going to do, this is the process, and you’re going to be OK.’ I love telling them, ‘We’ve got your back; we’re going to take care of that for you.’”
Hasner’s commitment to serving people is not limited to his professional life. He is the co-founder of a ministry in Nicaragua, Rayo de Sol, which provides children and families creative programming in education, nutrition, healthcare and community development.
He is also active in various professional organizations. In 2013, he co-founded the Georgia Injured Workers’ Advocates (GIWA) and is a current member of the executive committee and serves as treasurer of that group. He is also the 2016 board chairman of the Workplace Injury Network Political Action Committee (WIN-PAC) and 2016 member of the board of directors and arbitration fee dispute committee of the Workers’ Compensation Claimant Lawyers, a division of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He served as co-chair of the 2016 Workers’ Compensation Law Institute.

Bio
Stephen R. Hasner has been practicing law in Florida and Georgia since 1997, after receiving his J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida. Hasner has always focused his practice on workers’ compensation and personal injury cases, initially on the defense side. However, after several years he realized that he wanted to represent the interests of injured and disabled workers rather than insurance companies and made the switch.
His early experience defending insurance companies has provided invaluable strategic insight, which has enabled him to guide his clients’ cases to the most optimal outcomes. “It’s very helpful because you know what insurance companies are thinking, how they practice, how they handle and adjust claims,” Hasner says.
