Randy's prior experience defending major casualty insurance companies gives him unique insight as to the insurance claims handling process. Bio
Randy Russell was born and raised in Marrero, Louisiana. Upon completing high school, Randy enlisted in the Louisiana Army National Guard, 812th Medical detachment (aviation unit). After returning from initial military training, Randy enrolled in Southeastern Louisiana University in 1986 and obtained a degree in Economics in 1990. During the course of his education at Southeastern, Randy served as a helicopter mechanic in the Army National Guard and supported himself by working in numerous skilled labor jobs, including, industrial electrical work at chemical and production plants and welding/pipefitting at an oil field production yard. In 1991, Randy enrolled in law school at Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, attending law school at night, while working full time as a law clerk at a well-respected law firm in the New Orleans area. Randy obtained his law degree from Loyola in 1995 and was thereafter hired as an associate attorney with the Lobman, Carnahan, Batt & Angelle firm, where he handled casualty insurance defense cases from 1996 through 1999. Randy later joined Ates Law Firm as a trial attorney, where he handled significant personal injury and wrongful death cases from 1999 through 2005. In January 2005, Randy founded his own firm in Mandeville, Louisiana. Randy's firm focuses on representing citizens in significant personal injury, wrongful death and workers' compensation claims. His firm also handles wills/successions/probate, business litigation, business entity formation, insurance subrogation and general civil litigation.
