Firearms and Weapons Charges-- Dismissed

Defendant was charged with a felon in possession of a firearm and felony firearm (the felony being that he was a felon in possession of a firearm).

Maximum penalties were five years on one charge and a mandatory two years on the other charge to be served consecutively or after his other sentence. As an habitual second offender he was potentially facing nearly 10 years in prison.

After proving to the prosecutor that Defendant's right to possess firearms had been restored the case was dismissed.
