JAC Lawyers is led by the founding partner, Joana Alves Cardoso, and a group of experienced lawyers and collaborations in various legal areas with extensive international field experience in specialized areas. Our team advises international clients on their Macau affairs, organizations, and on international matters. JAC Lawyers practice areas cover various legal fields such as corporate, M&A, cross-border transactions, tax and finance, family law, real estate, international estate planning, litigation and dispute resolution. The team has combined proficient command of 5 languages and has great knowledge of China and Portuguese-speaking countries markets and environments. We possess good understanding of the needs of entrepreneurial clients participating in trade and cooperation in these jurisdictions and give insightful advice when involved in cross-border transactions or prospective deals.
In addition, JAC Lawyers has strategic partners in Shanghai, Lisbon, Madeira, Brazil, London, Paris and Dubai, offering clients well rounded services and guidance across a wide range of jurisdictions. Joana Alves Cardoso represents the values implemented in our practise.
Throughout her career as a lawyer, she has demonstrated a special interest in commercial, finance and family law, and prides herself on working closely and straight-forward with the clients.
During her professional career, she had the opportunity to work with local and multinational corporations. She is also an active member of the UIA (Union Internationale des Avocats) for over 6 years and has been a guest speaker for the Family Law and International Real Estate and Assets Planning Commissions.
She maintains international cooperation with law firms from different parts of the world fostered in excellence, reciprocity and integrity, this way generating greater connectivity with the clients.
