Practice Areas
Divorce
- California recognizes no fault-divorce whereby the majority of divorces in California are granted based on irreconcilable differences. Some cases may proceed to trial while others can be resolved through settlement. Procedurally, divorce involves a variety of issues, including child custody, child support, spousal support and property division.
Alimony and Spousal Support
- Spousal support, formerly referred to as alimony, is the award of monthly payments by one spouse to another. A court may order spousal support after permanent separation or after a divorce is finalized.
Child Custody and Support
- In consideration of child custody, two types of custody will be addressed in a divorce.
