Contact John Edgett, JD
John Edgett has been licensed to practice law in Arizona since 2010, the same year he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School. After serving a judicial clerkship, John entered public service as a Deputy County Attorney in the Pima County Attorney’s Office. Working as a prosecutor, John developed excellent trial skills and experience in handling a wide variety of criminal cases. John tried many criminal cases, including over 50 jury trials. Early on in his career, John was recognized as an award-winning prosecutor for driving under the influence cases. Soon after, he moved on to handling serious felony criminal matters, working in several focus areas including narcotics and violent offenses. John then became a supervising attorney within the office and managed a team of trial attorneys. Over his last several years at the office, John successfully prosecuted multiple First-Degree Murder cases, including several jury trials. In 2020, John entered private practice, opening the Law Office of John Edgett, PLLC. With the opening of his own firm, John now focuses on representing people in the community who need assistance through what can be an incredibly difficult and stressful experience – facing criminal charges. John dedicates his practice to criminal defense in Arizona, defending his clients’ rights and protecting their interests. John has lived here in Tucson since 2003 and has put down roots in his adopted hometown. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, cycling, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
