Bio
Why did you become an attorney?

I find it very satisfying to help people resolve problems they may be facing in their personal lives and business relationships. Making a living at it is icing on the cake, but what I really enjoy most is getting a thank you note from one of my clients when it’s all over.

What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?

I believe my accounting degree and the experience of running my own law firm for the past 17 years enhance my ability to represent small business clients. I also feel that growing up in a blue-collar home on the West side of Cincinnati, working with my Dad at a chemical plant, attending college and law school in other parts of the state, having a family of my own, and practicing law for the past 22 years, are all valuable life experiences which help me relate to people from all walks of life.

What made you choose your primary specialty focus of law?

I always knew I had no desire to represent large corporations or insurance companies. I would much rather help the “little guy”. When people are faced with a serious injury from an auto accident, or mountains of debt, or a business dispute with a partner, etc, I would much rather help them get these problems resolved and move onto a new and better chapter in their lives. These areas of law allow me to represent my kind of client

What makes your law firm unique?

Everyone at our firm works hard every day to provide the best PERSONAL SERVICE to each client. We feel it is not enough to do a good job in the courtroom. We believe each client has the right to get their phone calls returned promptly, to be kept informed about the status of their case, to have legal issues explained to them and to understand exactly what the fees will be. We strive to do this in every case. Each of our six attorneys concentrates his/her practice in one or two areas, while as a firm, we can serve several needs of our clients.

Describe your personal interests and hobbies.

I have two teenagers who are very involved in high school activities. The schedules for my wife and I tend to revolve around the children. However, I do manage to find time for softball, golf and a few Reds and Bengals games.

Describe your charitable activities.

Currently, the bulk of my time and treasure are donated to Mt Notre Dame, Moeller and Elder High Schools. In the past, I donated many years to coaching youth baseball, basketball and soccer.
