Our firm primarily represents private and public sector employees. We represent employees at all levels from the factory worker to CEOs. We provide a full range of services including counseling, litigation, arbitration, contract review, severance negotiations and mediation.
Our partners previously practiced in large national law firms where they gained significant experience representing management and corporations in employment law and business disputes. Our experience representing both sides of employment disputes helps us analyze the strengths and weaknesses of a case and to anticipate the arguments of opposing counsel. Bio
Job J. Milfort, a founding partner of Prioleau & Milfort, LLC, fights for his clients’ rights and best interests focusing his practice on Employment Law and Business Disputes. Specifically, Job’s practice includes pursuing and defending: employment discrimination, retaliation and harassment claims; wage and hour complaints; breach of contract claims; and tort actions. Job also handles contract negotiation and drafting; he prepares employment policies and agreements; and he counsels clients on employee discipline and compliance issues.
Since forming his own practice, Job has represented business owners and a variety of private and public employees. Prior to forming his own law firm, Job practiced as an employment lawyer and business litigator at Alston & Bird, LLP and at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC. During his tenure at these firms, Job represented national employers, small and medium size companies, and individuals in nearly all areas of employment law.
Job has successfully argued before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of an inmate alleging deliberate indifference to his medical needs in violation of 42 USC §1983. See Brown v. Johnson, 387 F.3d 1344 (11th Cir. 2004). He has also appeared before the Georgia Supreme Court in a suit brought against an insurance provider for negligent or bad faith failure to settle. See Trinity Outdoor, LLC v. Central Mutual Insurance Co., 285 Ga. 583 (2009).
While in law school, Job interned with the Honorable John M. Facciola, Magistrate Judge, United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Prior to law school, Job worked as a paralegal with Hirschhorn & Bieber, PA, a criminal defense firm in his hometown Miami, Florida.
