Sheri has worked for over twenty years in the areas of Social Security Disability Law, Special Needs Planning, Elder Law & Estate Planning. Sheri’s niche-within-a-niche is Social Security Disability Law and the special needs area of estate planning (Special Needs Trusts & Guardianship), which require additional care and experience, to properly understand and meet the needs of the community involved. She is committed to her clients and their families and works to make sure that all of their needs are met and their rights are protected.

Sheri R. Abrams, Attorney at Law, has been practicing Social Security Disability Law, Estate Planning, Elder Law and Special Needs Planning for more than 20 years.

Sheri is active in many different professional organizations including the Virginia State Bar, District of Columbia Bar, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (VAELA), where she serves on the Board of Directors, the Academy of Special Needs Planners and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR), where she served on the Board of Directors from 2011 to 2013.
Sheri is a volunteer Attorney for "Trial Lawyers Care" an organization that provides free legal help to those impacted by the 9/11 tragedy, the Legal Advisory Board of the National Capitol Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Virginia Hospital Center Legacy Committee, LINC (The Legal Information Network for Cancer), and the Virginia Bar Association's Disaster Legal Assistance Program.
Sheri graduated Cum Laude from Boston University’s School of Management with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and earned her Juris Doctor from George Washington University. She is admitted to all local courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
