Walnut Creek Business Lawyer Thomas Carter brings extensive legal experience and personal representation to create effective resolutions for a wide range of legal matters in Contra Costa County and the East Bay region. With roots in the Tri-Valley area and deep knowledge serving high-growth enterprises, Mr. Carter provides strategic legal counsel to corporations, emerging companies, and established businesses navigating complex commercial challenges.
Having grown up in the Walnut Creek area, Attorney Thomas S. Carter has strong connections in the community and understands the unique business environment that makes this region a hub for innovation and commerce. Our business law firm’s clientele reflects the area’s diverse economic landscape, from technology startups to established healthcare and financial services firms.
Early in his career, Mr. Carter gained valuable experience in federal practice and complex legal matters in Washington D.C. He later joined law firms in California as an Associate Attorney, advancing to “Of Counsel.” In these roles, he represented local businesses, educational institutions, municipalities, and non-profit organizations, developing a comprehensive understanding of diverse organizational legal needs. In 2011, Mr. Carter was appointed General Counsel for NationalLink, an industry-leading company that provides ATM solutions throughout California. This in-house counsel position provided him with invaluable insight into daily business operations, regulatory compliance, and the strategic legal considerations that drive successful enterprises.
Building on this foundation of experience, Thomas S. Carter established his Business Law Firm in 2014.
Business Attorney Thomas S. Carter earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law which formed the foundation for his legal career. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rhodes College, developing the analytical and communication skills that serve his business clients today. In addition, Mr. Carter is a graduate of San Ramon Valley High School and was actively involved in baseball, establishing early relationships in the Tri-Valley area.
