Mr. Wagers started his career as a corporate finance, M&A, oil and gas and securities attorney at Vinson & Elkins. He then moved his practice to Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as a capital markets, private equity and venture capital attorney. His main areas of practice include corporate and transactional fundings, energy transactions, acquisitions, divestitures and bankruptcy matters. His current practice focuses on helping companies raise capital for upstream, midstream, downstream and oil & gas services companies as well as technology and other companies. Jeremy S. Wagers, Esq. opened Wagers & Associates in July 2017. Currently Mr. Wagers also has co-founded Elite Counsel Solutions which focuses on staffing and recruiting for law firms and in-house legal departments and Rig Hands Solutions which focus on staffing and recruiting for the oil and gas industry. Previously Mr. Wagers joined Breitling as Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel in December 2012 and was appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer and Director in December of 2013. Prior to joining Breitling, Mr. Wagers was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Triangle Petroleum Corporation. From 2002 through 2005, he practiced law as a corporate finance and M&A attorney with Vinson & Elkins, LLP, in Houston, Texas and from 2005 through 2011, he practiced law as a corporate finance and M&A attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Wagers earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics (summa cum laude) from Baylor University and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with Honors. In private practice, His practice concentrated on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance and compliance.

Mr. Wagers has represented public and private companies, master limited partnerships, and investment banking firms in numerous capital markets offerings and has significant experience with public company mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive knowledge in the exploration and production, midstream and oil field services industries.
