Bio

As a Virginia Workplace Injury Lawyer and Richmond Social Security Disability Attorney, I have been assisting clients with their claims and denials for over 35 years.

In 1973, I first began representing injured and disabled workers while practicing law for the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society in Richmond, Virginia. In 1978, I became the managing attorney for that agency.

In 1984, I began my own law firm, specializing in the areas of Virginia Workers' Compensation and Adult Social Security Disability. I was recognized as one of the BEST Workers' Compensation attorneys in the Central Virginia region in a survey of 2,000 lawyers in Richmond Magazine's July 1999 publication. Before various groups, I have lectured on Social Security Disability issues and Workers' Compensation topics. Since 2005, the Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys invited me to be in their publication. Martindale-Hubbell awarded me the highest possible rating of "AV" for legal ability and ethical standards from 2010 to present.

In 1998, Rose Fauntleroy joined my firm as a litigation paralegal. She has been a tremendous asset to the firm because she knows the ins and outs of disability and work-place injuries.
