Managing Partner Jeff Lucas was born in New York in 1963. At an early age, his family relocated to Dunedin, Florida. Jeff attended school in the Tampa Bay area, graduating from Dunedin High School and attending the University of Tampa. Jeff attended the University of Tampa on an Army ROTC full tuition, room-and-board scholarship. In December 1986, Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree in criminology. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree Jeff went on to pursue his military training and career as an Army Officer. He attended Army Officer training at Fort McClellan, Alabama. Jeff then served in the United States Army for 8 years serving as a Military Police Officer. While on active reserve duty, Jeff decided to continue his education and pursue becoming a lawyer. He attended California Western School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1991. Upon becoming a member of the Florida Bar, Jeff began practicing law in 1992 while still in the Army Reserves. He served as a Public Defender for the Sixth Judicial Circuit for both Pasco and Pinellas Counties from July 1992 to April 1995. In June 1995, Jeff joined a law firm in Tarpon Springs, FL, where he continued to practice criminal defense law and expanded his practice to include civil litigation to specifically include personal injury law. Then, in 1999, Jeff began his own practice in New Port Richey, FL representing victims of auto accidents and personal injury. In 2000, Jeff expanded and created the initial partnership which today is now known as Lucas, Macyszyn & Dyer Law Firm. In 2006, Jim Magazine joined the partnership, expanding the firm’s litigation and trial department. Jeff now serves as the managing partner for Lucas, Macyszyn & Dyer Law Firm. He oversees all the daily business operations for all locations. In addition, he regularly visits all our offices located in New Port Richey, Spring Hill, Wesley Chapel, Inverness, and Clearwater. Clients and colleagues often describe Jeff as respectful and compassionate. People quickly find comfort while speaking with him.
